DW4020 Telstra Australia Ready Two-way Satellite Gateway Routers

  In mid-2003 Hughes released their first true stand-alone 2-Way system, the DW4020, still today these units offer reliable, robust operation,  although designed & marketed towards businesses, the DW4020 was purchased by many home users in remote area's as well.

DW4000 systems were difficult for the average home user to network, but the DW4020 offers an excellent solution, as it features a built-in 4-port 10/100 hub.

The DW4020 also uses the same dish that came with the earlier DW4000 system, making upgrading from that system basically a simple modem add-on.
 
Since the DW4020 is self-hosted, it requires no driver software installed on a host system. This makes the DW4020 compatible with any number of operating systems, like Windows, Unix, Linux, & Mac. in particular it resolves the current Windows Vista issue and into the future Windows 7.
 
The DW4020 is basically makes your current two modem components into a stack of three components stacked one atop another. The top two units are your existing DW4000 transmit & receive modems and the bottom one is your new DW4020 Gateway Router.

The DW4020 is the bottom unit and has the four ethernet ports, and contains the HNS firmware.

 
DW4020 users can expect to see smooth networking of your exisiting system to the Intenet. The ability to use a wide range of operating systems, including Vista, XP, SuSe, Linux, Mac just name a few.
